Happy Spring! Celebrate with Bronco’s Rough Ride

20 Mar

Today is the Vernal Equinox and the official first day of spring! Are you ready for it? In Las Vegas, spring often shows up in February, and we get all sorts of flowers. I love sitting out in my backyard and reading in the balmy days (before the summer heat kicks in and burns everything to a crisp).Spring Snapdragons

Speaking of reading, tomorrow March 21 2014, Bronco’s Rough Ride, the next book in the Bad Boys of Beta Squad series comes out. This is the prequel to The Navy’s Ghost, and you get to see how John “Bronco” Andrews met his wife Lindsey before Ghost, Magic, and Retro got into their mess. Here’s the blurb:
Broncos Ride
What happens in Vegas, stays in the heart…

Chief Petty Officer John “Bronco” Andrews only meant to stay one night in Vegas for a little R&R before resuming his duties as a US Navy SEAL in Coronado. But someone slips him a mickey in the bar and he finds himself in Madame LeBeau’s sex trade. As the product. Doped up on ketamine to keep him docile, Bronco has no choice but to let it ride.

Detective Lindsey Jarvis has been undercover in LeBeau’s sex slave racket for two years and she almost has enough evidence to take it down. Between abduction, prostitution, and murder, she has LeBeau by the short hairs. All she needs is a “product”. John is the perfect witness if she can get him out before the drugs shut down his heart. Then she’ll be free to start a normal life.

Lindsey doesn’t count on her overwhelming attraction for Bronco or her need to see him through detox. But she’s a cop in Vegas and he’s a Navy SEAL, two lifestyles with too much unpredictability to maintain a relationship. Neither have time for more than one wild rough ride, and what happens in Vegas, stays. Forever.

Come join Bronco and Lindsey on their wild ride on March 21st 2014 everywhere ebooks are sold. Kick-ass adventure, a hot cop, and a hotter SEAL. And remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in the heart…

Enter the Dream World of OpenSim Interactive Fiction

20 Feb

Have you heard of interactive fiction? Years ago it started with those old Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novels where the authors had written multiple endings and paths to get through the story depending on which choice the reader made at the end of each chapter. It was very cool because you could get a different story each time you read it.

Now, in the Twenty-first Century, we have things like SecondLife and OpenSimulator which allow us to build actual avatars (characters) and wander around a fictional world. A new kind of Choose-Your-Own-Adventure in digital worlds.Tarot 2-3-14

This week, my good friend Nara Malone has introduced one step higher in interactive fiction. She’s asked me and several other authors to write OpenSim stories so readers can come visit, wander through our worlds, and get a story along with the adventure. You can visit Tina Glasneck’s suspense tale Letter to Charlie that takes you through Greyville Writer’s Colony, drop by Shara Lanel’s Good Karma Tarot shop, or trip across worlds (grids) to Nara Malone’s Blue Harbor. And if you like your stories a little more sensual and romantic, follow my Incubus Dream through Cloudburst, Colorado and beyond.Incubus Dream cover

How do you do this? Nara has a gift for teaching others and she’s posted a great article of how to get started. It says it’s for authors, but anyone can use the information therein to visit the Metaverse and Greyville. Greyville is where you start all the stories. Once you log in, just find the park with all the books in it and you’re off. Shara Lanel wrote a blog post on her experience and what you can expect. We’ll all be around at one time or another, time zones permitting, to answer questions or tell you the tricks we’ve learned putting this together.Dragon Temple Book intro

We hope to see you there.

For those already familiar with SecondLife and the Metaverse, you can tromp on over to Nara’s Nook and see for yourself at: world.narasnook.com:8900

Hot New Release to Warm the Cold Nights

12 Dec

Good morning! Brr! Is it cold out there where you are? It is here in Las Vegas. I know that seems like an odd occurrence, but deserts do get cold in the winter, and Vegas is in the driest desert in North America. So it’s cold and dry here. Perfect time to get hot and wet, right? LOL

Last week, my newest releast The Navy’s Ghost, came out, and it’s a hot menage a’SEALs. Here’s the blurb:

TNG-webfinalA SEAL is strongest with her Team…

Ensign Christiana “Ghost” Brickman is the only female SEAL to survive BUD/S training, a real Navy Jane. But when an ambush ends her career as an active SEAL, she’s free to pursue other interests. Like her two best friends Lt. Jim “Retro” Waters and Chief Warrant Officer Todd “Magic” Hunter. She’s wanted them for over a year, but never dared to approach them while in the squad.

Retro has fought his dark desires since high school, certain the need to share a woman unnatural. Magic had never considered sharing before Ghost mentions it, but it solves his dilemma of choosing between his best friend and his woman. But Retro balks at Ghost’s offer to share and retreats from both when she marries Magic.

Everyone feels Retro’s loss, but he ignores the ache of their broken connection in favor of living ‘normal.’ When Ghost and the other wives of Beta Squad are kidnapped, Retro must reevaluate how much both Ghost and Magic mean to him. And he must decide how far he’s willing to go to save the woman he loves, before she becomes the Navy’s ghost.

And here’s an Excerpt The Navy’s Ghost:

As she lay dying on the grimy floor of the Nicaraguan warehouse, Magic’s feelings for Ensign Christiana Brickman had crystallized into blinding clarity. I love her. He’d ignored the thought in favor of saving her life, but now, with the squad around him and the action settled, it came roaring back into his mind, clear as day. Jubilation mixed with terror settled into his gut. No fraternization within the ranks. Too bad his heart couldn’t remember the rules.

“How’s she doing, Magic?” Retro shouted through the mic to Magic over the rotors.

“Stable for now. High as a kite, but stable.”

“Good to hear. Pilot says back on base in fifty mikes.”

“Roger that.”

“Why do they always use boys’ names for everything?”

Retro and Magic turned to the woman lying between them and met the clouded hazel gaze beneath the lowered brows. “Say again, Brickman?”

“Boys’ names. Why do they always use them for everything?”

“What are you talking about?” Retro raised an eyebrow.

“You know, Mike for minute, Roger for understood.” Brickman rolled her head to pin Retro with her focus. “Jimmy for futzing with locks. Hey, your name is Jim.” She licked her lips and swallowed. “I like your name, Jim Retro. And I like you, too. You’re handsome.”

“Yep. Definitely high as a kite.” Retro snorted and shot a smile at Magic. Todd tried to smile back, but his gut sank. What if she preferred Jim over him? Get your head back in the game. She’s never shown interest in any of us.

“Yeah, but I’m pretty sure she’s not in pain. With the dosage I gave her, she should be floatin’ on cloud nine by now.”

“You’re my cloud nine, Magic.” The hazel gaze hit him and he tried not to fall into it or the words she murmured. “So sexy and smart and nice. All the Navy bunnies just love you.” Her lips tightened in irritation. “Sluts.”

Magic raised his eyebrows. Don’t listen to her, she’s out of her mind. Except morphine often acted like a weak truth serum, stripping away inhibitions to expose real sentiments underneath. Chris turned her head away to mumble something under her breath as a mild frown creased her forehead.

“Not good enough for you.”

“Say again, Ensign?” Retro leaned closer to her.

“They only want dick, you know.” Her gaze slid slowly back to Jim’s face. “You deserve better, Retro. Mo’betta. ’Cause Bravo Squad does everything mo’betta. They should call it Betta Squad.” She trailed off in a dreamy, sing-songy voice.

“At least she’s got that right.” Retro shook his head, a half smile quirking his mouth.

“Bravo Squad definitely does it mo’betta.” Ghost fixed him with a hard stare. “Just like you, Retro. And you need someone who knows you. You, and Magic, too. Perfect, sexy, tall, and hard. Like bananas.”

“What?” Magic traded looks with Retro.

“Oh, shit. You better knock her out before she says something really crazy.”

“Bananas. You know…” Chris raised one hand, curling her fingers into a C-shape before swaying it back and forth as if stroking something. “Long, hard, smooth, and warm.” She grimaced. “Bananas. So much better than cucumbers. Mo’betta in Betta Squad.”

“Knock her out, Magic.” Retro growled as the other squad members snickered in the background.

Sexy in Every Way Possible

17 Oct

I’m so excited to be part of this blog. When Nara Malone invited me to be part of this blog I was so excited. I even had a fangirl moment. 😀

How did I get invited? I met Nara online two years ago and she helped me learn about the virtual world of SecondLife. She was very patient with me, especially with how nervous I was learning about meeting people and creating an avatar to navigate the online world. Thanks to that experience, when she invited me to join her virtual world of Greyville in OpenSim, I was more comfortable creating and building avatars and my own spaces.

It was fun and exciting to create my persona within this world and wander around without fear or concerns on how I looked or whether I could do things (you can actually wander around underwater without worries. Heck, you can even fly). That got me to thinking about self-image. We might see ourselves as sexy or maybe we don’t, but we always have to worry what others will think. Or we’re affected by what they tell us they think.

But in OpenSim, you can be as sexy as you feel or as you wish to be.  You can even be someone other than yourself. I’ve dressed myself up as I see myself in OpenSim and I’ve included a few photos. You can be stronger than you are in waking life, you can be thinner, fatter, taller, more elegant. Anything. You can even be sexy.

You can change your look as easily as you change your clothes. Male or female, young, old, robust or slender. You can be anything.

Fredrick MacGregor  Ready to talk

All of these images were taken in my Dragon Palace at Greyville in Nara’s Nook. Drop by and pay me a visit. We’ll share stories and coffee. 🙂 Nara says it will be open by the end of October. I hope you stop by.

So if you could be anyone or anything or any way, what would you choose?

Cook Naked: Coffee Kisses

15 Mar

coffee at veranda

Bond: Bonjour, mes amis. Welcome back to Cook Naked. Are you ready for some passion from the dark side today?

Here in the dungeon we know all about the dark passions. We’ve talked many times about how some of us need hard love, love that digs in our shadows, a love with teeth in it.

Welcome Siobhan Muir who brings us a love story with teeth in it and a treat that combines two dark pleasures. *bows low, kisses, Siobhan’s fingers*

Cherie, it is always a pleasure. Tell us about Bridget and Fredrick while I gather the ingredients.

SM:
*with a delighted grin* Thank you for allowing me in your kitchen, Master Bond.

The story of Bridget and Fredrick combines the fiery living energy of the Goddess with the sultry, grounding effects of the earth. Bridget is a lady of fire and sarcasm, jaded by the ways of the world, and completely unaware of anything extraordinary about herself (aren’t we all that way?). Fredrick is a vampire, grounded in his knowledge of his premonitions and a devotee of the Goddess. He’s used to getting his way at first look (as I’m sure you are, Master Bond), but finds Bridget a bit of a challenge. It does help that he has chocolate brown eyes and is a big fan of kissing his lady, though. *winks*

Bond: Chocolate and kisses, the light dawns…this must be why you chose to make coffee kisses today.

In this recipe, mes amis, we have a joining of two great forces from the dark. Both coffee and chocolate have long been thought to enhance mental and erotic power. And so they’ve been elements to be controlled or restricted. Chocolate because of it’s reputation as aphrodisiac and coffee for it’s stimulating effects.

SM: They certainly work on Bridget…and on me, for that matter. Hell hath no fury like a woman without chocolate or coffee.

Bond: And there is no quicker way to her heart than to turn both into a sensual delight to please her, n’est ce-pas?

So in a large bowl we mix the butter and powdered sugar. *passing the bowl and whip to Siobhan*

SM: With baking, when butter and sugar mix, the creamy sweet concoction is best when its light and frothy. It offsets the chocolate and coffee, like Bridget’s light offsets Fredrick’s darkness.

Bond: This is true, cherie, and the best romances are a contrast of passions between lovers.

Once you’ve whipped her up to a nice froth, you add the petit noir–coffee, a dark stimulant.

Did you know some governments had tried to outlaw the coffee? Of course they insisted it was for health reasons, but they saw coffee houses as places that brewed dissidence and served up rebellion.

SM:  Bridget has always found them places of sanctuary and comfort, not only because of the warmth in a full cup of coffee, but also the cozy decor. They are great places to snuggle with your lover on cold, rainy evenings, surrounded by the scents of delicious baked goods and sultry, sensuous coffees. It helps that Fredrick owns several of coffee houses and even seduced her in one, once.

Bond: He has several coffee houses? He and I will have to talk one day. Coffee houses for seduction, this gives me ideas.

Sorry, mes amis, my mind runs away with me. *smile*

Now when all is ready we spoon mixture into the piping bag fitted with a medium star nozzle. Pipe 3/4 inch rounds of mixture 1 inch apart on greased baking trays. *hands bag to Siobhan* I think we will let you do the honors, cherie.

SM: Don’t forget to use a gentle, but constant pressure on the piping bag. These cookies are meant to be plump and round, not hard and flat. You can pipe any shape you prefer, of course. I certainly have my favorite; long with ridges, drizzled with chocolate. *winks*

Bond: *wiggling eyebrows at Siobhan* Plump and round is definitely preferable. Definitely. You have to show me this chocolate drizzling technique of yours. *watching Siobhan manipulate the bag*

Er, sorry, mes amis. I get distracted. It’s hot in here. *mops brow* We should have waited longer before turning on the oven.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand on trays for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool.

And now for the fun part, the bonding, joining of two to make something delicious. And we do that with our other little dark pleasure, le chocolate. Pour melted chocolate between two pieces and they will bond as they cool.

SM: Mm-hm, the very best part. Like the soothing, dark warmth of a lover’s caresses. Fredrick hopes to temper the Goddess’ fire within Bridget, but as all good bakers know, chocolate can be easily burned and Fredrick isn’t always as smooth as he’d like to be. You know what happens when you get too close to the fire. Still he adds a touch of sweetness that Bridget has been missing. Just like chocolate to coffee biscuits. 🙂

Bond: *wicked grin* Have a coffee kiss, cherie. And thank you for sharing your delicious kisses with us.

So there you have it, mes amis. Curl up with a plate of Coffee kisses, a mug of fresh coffee, and Siobhan’s new book, Her Devoted Vampire. Treat yourself to a little dark pleasure.
