Pitch Contest

The 1st Annual Passionate Reads Pitch Contest is officially open closed for submissions!

Please read all of Grace’s instructions below and prepare you entries accordingly.  Good luck!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am excited to have been chosen to judge the first-annual Passionate Reads Pitch Contest. The winner will receive a line-by-line critique by me of their first three chapters. The manuscript does not have to be complete in order to participate in the contest.
For the first round, I will be reviewing pitches. Please submit to the blog the one to two paragraph summary of your book that you would include in a query letter. At the beginning of the entry, please include your pen name, working title and Ellora’s Cave genre. If you are pitching a story for our Blush line (romance, but not erotic), please indicate if it is sweet, suggestive or sensual. Visit http://www.ellorascave.com and click on Submissions to view all the genres we publish. I will select ten entries to move on to the next round. During the week while I am considering each pitch, blog readers will get to vote on their favorite entry and that pitch will also move to round two if it is not one I have also selected.
For the second round, the ten (or eleven) finalists will send me the first chapter of their manuscript. One week later I will announce the top three. Blog readers will have the opportunity to vote as well, and their favorite chapter will also move forward if it is not one I have chosen.
For the third round, the three (or four) finalists will send me the first three chapters of their book. Two weeks later I will announce the winner. Sorry, only I will judge this last round *grin*.
I am currently actively acquiring in all subgenres of romance and erotic romance and am always looking for new talent. This contest is a great way to get your writing in front of an editor and receive valuable feedback. If you have any questions, I will be stopping by all day today to answer them. Best of luck to everyone, and I look forward to reading your pitches soon!
Warmly,
Grace Bradley
    Happy New Year!
    Is this where we are supposed to pitch our manuscripts, or am I a tad too early. Sorry, anxious to take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
    Thanks in advance.
    Not everyone knows me by my Pen name.. is it to late to add my real name next to it
      I can easily add it to your pitch on the voting page, yes. I think I can add it to the post, but I have this fear of accidentally erasing all the votes, LOL.
        🙂 Don’t worry about it.. I should have written it before.
        Thank you,
        Andie 🙂
