My love of Bones

31 Jan

No, I’m not talking about those things buried deep under our skin, oh wait….Yes I am. Kinda. But not really. Okay, sort of yes. *sigh* Are you confused yet? This is what I’m talking about –

OMG! I love this show! Tribe Cahill got me Season 1 through 6  for Christmas and let me just say….I LOVE!  The box set came encased in its very own BODY BAG! 🙂 I swear it’s the cutest thing and I keep telling The Kid that I’ll have no problems fitting his dead body in there is necessary. 😆 There’s just so much to love about this show. I don’t know where to start. Here?

Yeah, I know, I probably didn’t need to post a pic that big but……….*sigh* Ahem, what about this guy?

Not so big because, well, he’s not Booth. 🙂 But Hodgins is a surprise package. I’ll happily admit that he does it for me. But add him with this….

Holy hell! Man they just smoke. But what I can’t go past is this –

Oh boy. They don’t even need to speak and the screen is steaming up. I can’t tell you what it is about these two together, maybe it’s the characters as well as the actors themselves, or perhaps it’s the whole unlikeliness of this pair being together, whatever it is, it works. By the truck load. It reminds me of why I love romance books so much. From start to finish Bones is a romance between two people who really shouldn’t click but do.

Down here in Oz we’re still waiting for Season 7 to begin. *sigh* I’m hanging out for it. I’ve watched and re-watched Seasons 1 to 6 to the point that I can almost recite them word for word. Actually, Princess One is watching some now in the other room and I can tell you who the killer is just by listen to the first few seconds of dialogue. I’m beginning to wonder if maybe it’s not love but obsession. 🙂

I have to show you one more pic. I totally love this shot. Whoever thought of it was a genius!

I love David Boreanaz, ever since Angel and when I saw he was in a new series I had to try it and damn I’m happy I did cause this series has become one of my favorites – I record it in 2 rooms even just in case – lol.

I started watching Bones with an ounce of skepticism because I’d read several of Kathy Reichs’ books beforehand. Although the show’s Temperance & the books’ Temperance are a little different, the series works for just the reasons you stated. The cast who plays the characters have really made them their own and the audience loves them. 🙂

I haven’t read any of the books but I’m told Bones isn’t as quirky as the TV version. I’m not sure whether to read the series or not. I’d hate to be disappointed in the show like I’ve found with some movies that are based on books.

It’s on again today! Princess One is watching the episode where Hodgins and Angela get thrown in jail. 🙂
And thanks, it was fun looking for the pix.

I enjoy the show as well. I wish the science shown in the special effects were real. The show has great chemistry.I’ve also been afraid to read the books for fear they would ruin the show. Also I’m squeamish so I’ve been afraid to read the books. I saw the first couple of seasons, but haven’t had time to watch lately.
