SexyScopes – November, 2011

30 Oct

With two important astrological events in November, everyone’s individual forecast will be affected so that’s what I’ll be talking about today. First the basics:

***Sun in Scorpio thru 11/22 supports power plays, taking control;

***Full Moon in Taurus 11/10, may enhance stubborn tendencies or illuminate a need to be more grounded;

***New Moon in Sagittarius 11/25, will encourage an adventurous spirit and may also urge a lot of people to take a chance on something new and exciting but the two events I mentioned could make that a very bad idea.

 Get ready–Mercury will be going retrograde from 11/23 through 12/14. There is a detailed  explanation on my website about retrograde planets, but very simply, such energy tends to cause chaos in connection with computers and other technology, cars and transportation, communication and signing legal documents. Making large purchases or buying any sort of technology during this time is strongly discouraged. So get your holiday shopping done early!

 Right on top of that, there will be a partial solar eclipse on 11/25. Though it will only be visible over Antarctica, its effect is not limited to that area. By definition, an eclipse is the obscuring, blocking, overshadowing or surpassing of one thing by another. As we know, however, astronomically speaking, it is only temporary. Soon, whatever was blocked reappears.

 To put the event into astrological terms, consider the phrase “It is always darkest before the dawn.” Things might get unusually tense in the days before the eclipse begins and swiftly improve afterward—sort of like the air right before and after a bad storm. Very simply, eclipses shake things up. What was hidden is suddenly revealed. Bewildering situations are clarified. Obstacles are eliminated. New doorways appear.

 Eclipses tend to affect each individual in different ways and the affect of a partial is always less than a full, but one thing remains the same. Something changes after an eclipse. The other thing you can count on is that you can’t be certain of what that something will be. Eclipses tend to bring surprises or trigger much needed change in a surprising way. This month, Sagittarians and Geminis will be the most personally affected but everyone should experience a change of some sort, even if it is indirectly, such as with their family, friends or coworkers.

    Thanks, Marilyn. You have explained ‘retrograde’ and ‘eclipses’ so that I finally understand them.

    Whoa, sounds like a tricky month ahead. I hate those Mercury retrograde things.

    At least it’s only 3 weeks at a time! It’s just extra troublesome this time around because of the usual run of holiday shoppers Thanksgiving weekend.
