Let Round 2 Begin…

22 Jan

Yea! It’s that time again, time to vote for your favorite Passionate Reads Pitch Contest entry!

This round, we’ve moved onto 1st chapters, and just like the last round, the contestant with the most reader points automatically moves on, even if it wasn’t one of the ten pitches our awesome judge picked.

This is the last round of reader voting so spread the word.

Poll closes Sunday, January 31, at 12:00 p.m. midnight Pacific Time, and I’ll announce the results on Tuesday February 1st.

Below you’ll find the chapter poll along with links to let you read each contestants chapter. (FYI: the links below will NOT go live with this post, but it’ll only take me a few minutes to fix that. Should be up and running now.)

Good luck to all, and thank you for making our 1st Pitch Contest such a great success!!!!

I have a question. I just noticed that it says that the poll will close Sunday January 31 at 12pm Pacific time. Sunday is the 30th. So is this midnight Sunday night? Or is that noon? Sorry, just confused!

Is a script or something running on the voting? Seems somewhat automatic rather than actual votes. Just asking?

      Hi, Amanda,
Thank you for raising a valid question. There is always the chance the voting can become somewhat crazy in these types of things. It is because of this that the winners for each round have been chosen by me, and readers have been given the opportunity to put another entry through. Since this round is key, any authors whose first chapters I reviewed and desire to see the partial on will be notified via email by me after the second round finalists are announced. Thank you again for expressing your concern.
