Bond: Bonjour, mes amis. Join me in welcoming Kelly Jamieson back to the dungeon. *winks at Kelly* I am developing a serious crush.

Kelly’s here with a request to help Joe, a dominant in her newly released erotic novel, Taming Tara. Joe’s planning to propose to his submissive and wants a dish that is romantic and easy to prepare. Tell me more about Joe and Tara, Kelly.

Kelly: Joe and Tara met when Joe started working for Tara’s olive company. She did not want him there (her grandfather hired him) – she wanted to run the company her way. Then they met up in a club called Le Château. Tara thought she wanted to be a dominatrix, but Joe realized right away that she was submissive, and he also realized that the only way they were going to be able to work together was if he “trained” her. She put up quite a fight, but in the end she discovered that submitting to Joe was actually quite pleasurable. She still won’t submit to him in the office, but at least she listens to him now! Joe is quite a chef since his parents own a couple of Italian restaurants, so he wants to make it a very special evening when he asks her to marry him by cooking something special for her. Apparently he has a ring for her with a diamond the size of an olive pit.

Bond: Then we need a dish as elegant and sexy as the woman he loves. Two of the sexiest foods go into this dish I pick for Joe — peaches and champagne.

First Joe will need to select a proper peach. From what you tell me, he already has some experience in this. *wicked grin* I will review quickly for our frineds. The perfect peach has a heft, a weight when you cup it in your palm. You want…what is this word…compliance? pliability? Some give under your touch.

Kelly: I think I know just what you mean, Bond. I like pliant flesh.

Bond: To ready your peaches, you must strip them–

Kelly: *smiles* I think the word is “peel”, Bond, although stripping can be fun, too.

Bond: *shrugs* Strip or peel, your choice. Bottom line is we want them naked.The quickest way and sexiest way to undress a peach is to cut the covering…er…the peel. Take your knife and insert, making incisions all the way around. I can’t help to point out this works with stripping your sub as well. Put her in an old something and make some well placed incisions to the fabric. Then when you strip her you get a delicious ripping sound to make her peaches tremble for you as you unveil them.

Kelly: Er yes. Naked peaches. Okay! Now we plunge them into boiling water for just a few seconds…yes like that. Then take them out and slip them in to this bowl of cold water….and then…oh! Look at that, the skin just slips right off. And now they’re naked!

Bond: Mm, glistening, and succulent. We put them in the pot and douse them in champagne. Look at them quiver in the bubbling wine, Kelly.

Maple syrup goes into this for a rich flavor and then the vanilla bean. Around the dungeon you don’t hear the word vanilla. She is frowned upon. But vanilla is a sexy spice, mes amis — she comes to us wrapped up in leather, filled with a thousand tiny dark seeds, her secrets, the essence of her flavor.

Kelly: You are so right Bond, I think vanilla is very sexy, it is one of my very favorite scents. And the contrast between the leather and toughness of the bean on the outside and the sweet vanilla on the inside reminds me of Tara. She had to try so hard to be tough and in control. Although *wink* even she would admit she’s not exactly vanilla. What are we doing now? *peering into the saucepan*

Bond: We bring the mixture to a simmer over low heat, about 185 degrees.Don’t let them come to a boil. There’s a fine line we walk, getting the peaches hot enough without overdoing.This should take about five minutes to poach.

Kelly: Okay, simmering over low heat. I suppose if we overdid it, they would just turn to mush.

Bond: True and we don’t want mushy. We like that resistance, a little push back when we dig in, no? Set the peaches aside to cool, but don’t refrigerate. We don’t want chilly, mes amis. Now, since Kelly is a romance writer, I’ll let her demonstrate making the romance whip cream. 🙂
Kelly: Whipped cream is a great topping for many desserts and for many other purposes. I actually like to use the cans of aerosol whipped cream sometimes, what do you think of that Bond?

Bond: Some Reddi-wip? *grin* Normally, I don’t like the canned things, but who can resist this? There is a lovely hissing sound and the kiss of a breath against the skin–um dessert…my English, sorry.

Kelly: Moving right along, I find it’s very easy and convenient to use but of course there’s nothing quite like freshly whipped cream. And here we get to do one of your favorite things, Bond: whip!

Bond: This is better than Reddi-wip!

Kelly: I’m going to use an electric mixer because it’s faster and easier on the arms. We need ½ cup of heavy cream *dips finger into cream and licks it off* Mmm. I love cream. (add anything you want here!) Whip it over ice cubes in a chilled mixing bowl until it thickens. *licks lips again* and then add the sugar and vanilla extract. Be sure to use good quality vanilla. Then whip to desired…stiffness.

Bond: *captures Kelly’s hand, brings it to his lips, licks a bit of cream she missed* Perfect, Kelly. As to desired stiffness, I think you obtained this.

Ingredients:
2 large ripe peaches, preferably white
2 cups dry champagne
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 small vanilla bean
3 large strawberries
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/4 medium lemon, squeezed for juice
2 large mint leaves for garnish
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    DD’s (9 mos) favorite fruit is peaches. I always sneak a few bites when I’m peeling them after I’ve baked them. With this grown-up recipe I may have to make some of my own! Thanks!
